POSITION SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced Depot Supervisor to oversee depot operations, ensure safe and efficient fuel delivery, and grow our commercial customer base. This role blends operational leadership with business development, requiring strong industry knowledge and hands-on management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all depot operations, staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company SOPs.
- Oversee stock control, inventory, and accurate data capturing.
- Be available for 24-hour operational standby.
- Drive sales of lubricant products, servicing existing clients while securing new business.
- Maintain and grow key accounts, attend tender briefings, and ensure SHERQ compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric with 6–10 years in Depot Management experience is essential.
- Strong sales, marketing research, and business development skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence with no endorsements and a clear criminal record.
- A BCom Marketing or similar qualification is advantageous.
PACKAGE:
- Salary: R12,000–R15,000 (negotiable, plus commission)
- Pension Fund (employer contribution increases after Year 1)
- Company van with fuel (work use for first 6 months, then subject to evaluation)
- Company cell phone.
